Haltom High School's Anthoni Villa and Israel Soto have been selected as 2026 AVID Student Leaders for the AVID Dallas Summer Institute June 14-17, where they will proudly represent Birdville ISD and Haltom High School.

Haltom High is BISD's AVID National Demonstration School, and while attending the AVID Dallas Summer Institute, Anthoni and Israel will share their AVID experiences, future plans, and collaborate with other student leaders. In addition, Anthoni and Israel will serve as facilitators in AVID Communities of Practice, where educators from across the nation will be engaged in learning this summer.
